display student course evaluation reports help

How do I read the reports?
Course evaluation data are based on student responses to a standard set of questions which are presented to students at the end of their class experience. Each question is actually a statement about the course or instructor (for example, "The instructor was organized"), and the student responds with their level of agreement with that statement (i.e, "Strongly Agree" to "Strongly Disagree"). These responses do not provide a direct measure of the teaching and learning process; but can give a general idea about the course. Poor responses may indicate any of several kinds of student concerns, such as poor teaching, instructor's personality traits, and/or difficulty and time commitments for the course.

Look carefully at how the results are displayed. Results show the percentage of students in each response category for a given question. Small differences are not likely to be reliable; thus a few percentage point differences should be ignored. Also, responses are particularly unreliable if they are based on a small number of responders.
